Katie Merrill Carrucciu is a Los Angeles–based psychotherapist licensed in California and the founder of Santa Monica OCD & Anxiety Center. She specializes in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, OCD-spectrum conditions, anxiety disorders, and body-focused repetitive behaviors, including hair pulling, skin picking, and nail biting.
Her work is grounded in evidence-based care for individuals navigating high levels of internal distress—often while maintaining demanding professional, academic, or personal roles. Katie is known for her thoughtful, structured, and clinically rigorous approach, offering treatment that is both compassionate and precise.
Katie works with children, adolescents, and adults, and frequently treats individuals who are highly motivated, high-functioning, and seeking specialized care for complex or persistent symptoms. Her practice emphasizes discretion, clinical depth, and a collaborative therapeutic process.
Katie completed advanced post-graduate training in OCD and anxiety disorders at OCD Specialists, The Children’s Institute, and The People Concern. She has presented at the International OCD Conference and remains actively engaged in ongoing professional consultation and training. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master of Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles.
